Process monitoring for lines running thousands of sensor and pixel streams that catches faint, sparse shifts within a few observations and names the responsible tags in the same computation, so a control-room alarm arrives with its culprit list instead of starting a hunt.

Problem
Continuous rolling, extrusion and casting lines that already run inline surface vision plus several hundred process tags — bar, rod, strip and tube mills — where product moves faster than a human can chart it and every observation of delay is metres of scrapped length.
Outcome
A design-complete foundation in the active pipeline — engineering scaffold planned to complete this month.

About this foundation
High-dimensional statistical process control with diagnosis built in, not bolted on. Conventional multivariate charts do not scale past a few dozen streams; principal-component monitoring scales but watches the loudest directions, which is exactly where a small shift hides, and then cannot tell the engineer which sensor moved. Sparsight inverts both: it watches the directions that are currently *sensitive* rather than the ones that are large, and it recovers the shifted original variables from the same alarm.
